Smart Tips for Mid Journey Users: Keeping Your Creations Private on a Budget
Today, I’m excited to share a clever trick for those using Mid Journey, especially if you’re on a tight budget and subscribed to the $10 level plan. One of the drawbacks of this basic plan is the lack of privacy for your images and prompts in the Showcase. This might be concerning if you’re experimenting with unique prompts for projects like coloring pages and don’t want others to see (or potentially use) your work.
Let’s dive into a neat workaround for this privacy issue. Normally, if you want to keep your images and prompts private, you’d need to upgrade to a higher tier, like the Pro Plan, which offers “stealth image generation” for $60 a month. But, if you’re like me, trying to minimize expenses while building your channel, this cost is a bit steep.
Here’s a simple yet effective method to manage your images and maintain privacy without upgrading your plan:
- Deleting Images Publicly, Keeping Them Privately: You might think deleting your images from the Showcase is the only way to maintain privacy, but this means you lose them entirely. There’s a better way!
- Email or Message Images to Yourself: Instead of permanently deleting your images, you can send them to yourself. This can be done by clicking the ‘more’ button in Mid Journey, selecting the correct envelope icon, and sending the image to your Mid Journey bot inbox. This keeps a private copy for your reference.
- Managing Your Private Copies: After emailing the images to yourself, you can safely delete them from the public feed. They’ll disappear from the Showcase but remain accessible in your personal message box.
- Recalling Images for Further Work: If you decide to revisit an image, simply use the job ID to bring it back into your workspace. Remember, recalled images won’t appear in your gallery unless you create variations or regenerate them.
- Final Tip – Managing Recalled Images: When you work on a recalled image, like creating variations, these will appear in your gallery. To maintain privacy, repeat the process of sending them to yourself and then deleting them from the public feed.
This approach helps you keep your creative process private while using Mid Journey, even on the basic plan. It’s a great way to protect your unique ideas and manage your budget effectively.
